This one was purely a trial that I didn’t think would work, but it actually did.

There is a drink that Woolworths sells the brand name is “Diet Rite” and it’s made in bunch of different flavours. I mixed in some of the Apple and Cranberry one in with my shake this morning and it ended up tasting like Cherry Ripe!

It was the normal shake which is 1.5 servings of chocolate protein powder, 300mL of water, and 2Tbsp of flax seed meal. To that I added 100mL of the drink and blended.

Give it a try. Add other soft drinks. I might try some orange and see if I get Jaffa :)

Snickers Shake

The last shake of the day is chocolate protein powder with some peanut paste in it. I got the idea that a little tiny bit of caramel sauce would make it taste like Snickers and it does!

The recipe isn’t hard, basically I make up one serving of protein powder with a tablespoon of smooth peanut paste and a almost a tablespoon of lite caramel ice cream topping from Cottees. I will try to get some other no carb sauces in the future and hopefully make all sorts of other flavours too.

Basically it adds 3.5g of carbs to my day curbed by fat and a stack of protein and it’s worth it for the variety.
