I’m not going to lie and say this is anything like ice cream, but it is very cold and it is made of milk products.
You need 125g of cottage cheese and a serving of casein (I use Optimum Nutrition Casein) or Whey (again I use ON). The casein will make it thicker than using whey, so if you use casein you may want to add a tiny amount of yoghurt, I don’t though I just mash it together with a spoon.
Once you’ve mashed it all together then you have a choice of whacking it straight in the freezer for a couple of hours or you can melt the peanut butter by microwaving a tablespoon for 20 seconds then mix that in. It’ll thin out at first but then it’ll thicken up a lot so be quick. After mixing chuck it in the freezer as above.
I tend to just freeze it without the peanut butter in it and then melt it and pour on top later.
Delicious!

These little snacks are so simple and easy and they aren’t that bad actually. For me they make a great alternative to a shake sometimes if I’m looking for something a little slower digesting than whey. I can only comment on the use of Optimum Nutrition Whey here as different powders have different consistencies.
Protein Pancake
Combine 4 egg whites (or 2Tbsp of egg white powder reconsistuted) and 0.5 to 1 scoop of whey.
Whisk for a minute.
Fry in pan on medium heat for a minute.
Flip in half and pull from pan it’ll cook the rest of the way through depending on how deep or thing the pancake was. Mine are thin.
Pour some vanilla essence over it.
Eat.
They’re also great with some carby topping as you don’t need much. A teaspoon of honey or maple syrup or warmed peanut butter goes a long way!
Enjoy

It’s a weird combo but I’m loving it as a topping to my frittatas and on bread with meat. Give it a try.
Heat up the peanut butter to a saucy consistency. 1Tbsp takes about 25 seconds in the microwave. Then add the balsamic and stir, then put it on whatever you want. It won’t say very liquid but it is very tasty.

Iced tea is a drink that most people buy thinking that it’s better for them than a Coke, Fanta, Solo or whatever other soft drink there is. Sorry, you’re probably wrong. Sure tea has some goodness to it but generally you don’t drink it with multiple spoons of sugar in it.
Most bought iced teas from what I’ve seen contain 30grams or more of sugar! That’s the equivalent of six teaspoons of sugar, in the equivalent of two glasses of water. Why can’t you make your own iced tea ? It’s easy and way, way cheaper.
This is how I’ve been making mine after a bit of experimentation.
Just brew up your tea, I use a tea bag and a nutrasweet tablet per 300mL of water or so. I tend to make 600mL worth at a time. Just brew it for a few minutes and then put it into the fridge. After it’s cool I tend to bulk it out with some more water by adding another half the amount of tea in water. 600mL of tea becomes 900mL.
It tastes great and makes an awesome difference to diet drinks where you can taste the artificial sweetener. You can use the flavoured tea bags I’ve used caramel, apple and cinnamon, and ginger and lemongrass and I could see how each would appeal to different people. I’m preferring the caramel option, but will keep looking.
